History | Curriculum for Excellence S1 & S2

S1 Course
With the launch of Curriculum for Excellence, you will have the opportunity to experience our new and exciting S1 course. In S1 History you will explore Medieval Scotland, travelling from Stirling Castle, experiencing a medieval tournament, through plague ridden villages to the dark and dangerous streets of Edinburgh where crime was rife and punishments severe.

Leaping forward in time you will investigate one of the most shocking crimes of the twentieth century, the Holocaust. As a detective you will sift through many different types of evidence to discover the truth behind seemingly innocent people and become inspired by the heroic actions of others in the face of danger.

As part of your journey through Medieval Scotland and 20th Century Europe you will undertake a series of homework tasks which will enable you to become a successful learner in History.
